Ways You Can Keep Your Bathroom Mirror And Glass Shower Doors Fog Free

If you hate getting out of your shower and seeing a fogged up bathroom mirror, there are things you can do to keep this from happening. You can also keep the fog off your glass shower doors using the techniques below.

Fog Free Bathroom Mirror

An easy and inexpensive way to make your bathroom mirror fog free is to drape a towel over it before you get into the shower. The towel will work as a barrier, and absorbs moisture to keep the fog off the mirror.

You can also squirt a little shaving cream on a paper towel, and rub it all over the mirror. Use a fresh paper towel and rub it on until you no longer see the shaving cream. This works as a natural defogger to keep moisture from building up on the mirror.

You can also purchase an anti-fog spray that is used for the windshield on cars. It works just as well for a bathroom mirror. Follow the directions on the product label on how to put it on your mirror. You can purchase this at most car supply stores.

If you want to spend money, you can purchase a fog free mirror. These mirrors will not fog up while you are taking a hot shower. You can purchase these at most home supply stores.

Fog Free Glass

If you have glass shower doors, you can also keep them fog free. One way you can do this is to add 1/2 cup of vinegar in one gallon of water. Put the mixture in a spray bottle, and spray it on your shower doors. Dry them off with a lint free cloth, and condensation will not build up.

Another way you can do this is mix together two cups of ammonia, one cup of rubbing alcohol, and two teaspoons of liquid dishwashing liquid in one gallon of water. Put into a spray bottle, spray it on the glass shower doors, and wipe them dry with a dry lint free cloth.

You can also rub one tablespoon of regular toothpaste onto the glass, and then rinse it off with water. Let it dry naturally. This will leave a light film on the glass that acts as a barrier.

The next time you get out of your shower, you will not have a fogged up mirror. This saves you time from having to wipe it off every time. You will also be able to see out of your shower doors while you are showering.
